SEFAA Highlights
Above, are three upcoming events, you don't want to miss! (Visit the SEFAA website for much, much more!)

  1. Wall Power, an exhibition of quilts by Laurel Rudolph from 2/8 through 3/3 (in-person): Laurel uses words, nature, bright colors, and beautiful fabrics in her quilts which span the range of playful to serious.
  2. Silk Dye Painting with Hellenne Vermillion starts on 2/13 (in-person): You’ll learn many techniques for silk dye painting in this five-session class, focusing on the “serti” or resist-lines method and using a safe, water-based resist.
  3. Winter Goddess Dolls with Hellenne Vermillion starts on 2/26 (virtual): Celebrate your creativity by making a Winter Fiber Goddess to nurture your spirit, grace your projects, and protect your workspace.

Corrie Habib, Running for the Board
We're very grateful to have had the honor of working with Nancy Thompson since April 2019. She is now stepping down from the Board and will be sorely missed but knowing that she is chasing dreams makes saying farewell a tiny bit easier. Please help us wish her a wonderful future in North Carolina!

Karen SanMillan and Corrie Habib are running for election to the SEFAA Board for 2-year terms that will end in February 2024. Both are relatively new to SEFAA but have jumped in headfirst - Karen learning the treasurer ropes and Corrie writing blog posts and updating our Bulletin Board Calendar. We hope you'll agree that they will be awesome additions to our Board of Directors!

SEFAA members please vote yes, no, or abstain for all four Board candidates - Karen and Corrie plus two returning members, Jolie Fainberg and Gale Evans - before 7 pm on February 17th. And, everyone is invited to join us at our virtual Annual Meeting starting at 6.30 pm that evening. Details will be online soon.
