Good afternoon, Sonoma Verde!

We have got a handful of updates to touch on this week, so we are going to dive right in!

Annual Meeting:
Thank you to all who attended the Annual Meeting. There were some technical issues with the live stream, but we are working on cleaning up the recording to post it for your viewing pleasure!

You can currently review the questions submitted prior to the Annual Meeting and see the answers to those questions. Visit the link here:
Repairs:
The pond fountain has been inspected, and it was determined that we need to replace the motor. We are awaiting cost estimates before we know a timeline for repairs. The clock tower repair is scheduled for this weekend, on Sunday, October 24th.

Community Safety:
Please be mindful of speed limits and parking in the community. The community is home to a wide variety of age groups. We have young children playing, teens coming to the courts to play, and adults walking/running in the community. Please watch your speed as you travel the streets.

Street parking is causing some issues with mail delivery and can make it difficult for drivers to navigate streets safely. Please try to limit your street parking as much as possible to allow ease of access throughout the community.

Please do not drive golf carts, four-wheelers, or other recreational vehicles in common areas. Licensed drivers should drive all vehicles, and they should follow posted speed limits and directional signs.

If you see anything suspicious in the community, please report the information to the Rockwall County Sheriffs' office. You can call their non-emergency line at (972)204-7001. If it is an emergency, please call 911.

Community Standards:
Commercial vehicles, RVs, watercraft, and trailers should not be parked in the community. We understand that certain things like cleaning, loading, or charging require these vehicles to be brought in temporarily at times. Still, they are not permitted to be parked or kept in the community per the community documents.

Financials:
The monthly financials for September have been posted to the community website.

Communication:
As a reminder, the Association management team does not follow resident neighborhood Facebook groups. While we love their use for building community, it is not an efficient place for us to monitor and address your concerns. If you see an issue or have a question, please reach out to us here at the Association office. We are here to help you.

We utilize the Association Facebook page to share updates on the community and host a monthly Lunch N Learn, and we would love for you to join us there!

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know, and I will be happy to help!

Thank you,
Jamie Patterson

"It reeks of children!" - Mary Sanderson, Hocus Pocus.

It's time to get into my favorite time of year, and it has been since I was a kid! It's non-stop celebrations which always meant good food and family. Now it also means haunted houses, and holiday movies, and all of the best fall things!

The weather is starting to get so nice, so I took some time focusing on the things above and spent this morning with some friends and my dad getting quality time while tailgating for barbecue. Yes, I was in line at Goldee's Barbecue at 7:00 AM simply because Texas Monthly said they were the best barbecue restaurant in the state. What can I say? I'm easily entertained and highly susceptible to suggestions!
If you want to stay closer, I can HIGHLY recommend both Smoke Sessions or Smoak Town BBQ, both in Royse City, for a more local flavor.

All this to say, I hope you take the start of this fall season, with this gorgeous weather, to do something you enjoy with the people you love and enjoy yourself! I know we post #taketimeforyourselftuesday on the Association Facebook page regularly, but it really does pay off when you take a little time for yourself and do something you enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

If you could be on any reality TV show, which one would it be?

Hell's Kitchen. It's the only one we watch, and I'm a pretty good cook, so I would like to compete.

If you could be on any reality TV show, which one would it be?

Probably Survivor, it has the balance of competition versus social game that I would do well at.

If I were a better cook, it would be Top Chef, without a doubt.
