Prayer, Bowling & Buisness
#April 2023
March was a productive month even if much of what was accomplished was of an administrative nature- things that don’t make for a terribly thrilling update, even though they are just as important as exciting events. However, there were three things that took place last month that may be of interest to you, our supporters: Prayer, Bowling, and Business!
ALL-NIGHT PRAYER MEETING

There was a time in the 90s when our church had all-night prayer meetings every Friday night. Of course, at that time we were all young college students with nothing to do and nowhere to be on Saturday. However, we, as a church, are convinced that these times of prevailing in prayer are key to church growth, and health, and impacting our city. Last month about ten of us gathered at the church for several hours of prayer, worship, seeking the Lord, and exhorting one another through what God has been speaking to us individually over the past couple of weeks. All-night prayer is something we’ve decided to continue doing once a month.
BEZ CENZURE AND BOWLING

Bez censure (No Censorship) is our new group for young people ages 20+. Their first event was a New Year's Party and they’ve continued organizing get-togethers once a month since then. In March they organized a rousing time of bowling! It’s a great way for young adults to invite their unsaved friends to come, hang out, meet other Christian young people, and share their faith in a laid-back environment.
PRAISE REPORT>

>We found jobs and accommodations for everyone living in the Ukrainian house.
>We received ten new members into church membership this past month!
>We had several attend all-night prayer and attendance to our mid-week prayer meeting and morning online prayer meeting is growing.
BUSINESS CONFERENCE FOR UKRAINIANS

Two of our church members (a business and investment counselor and a lawyer) decided to pool their resources and knowledge and host a one-day conference for Ukrainians in regard to temporary or permanent residence, finding work, how to start a business and succeed in Croatia, and what their rights as foreigners are. The conference was 100% free, open for all Ukrainians, and translation from Croatian to Ukrainian was provided for those who may not understand Croatian yet. It was well attended, and we believe it is extremely useful, especially for those who will decide to remain in Croatia over the coming years.

Mario will be coming to the United States this summer. Although his Sundays are already completely full, he still has openings to minister in mid-week services or time for meetings during the week, so feel free to contact him at either marioducic@gmail.com or marioducic@cce.hr His itinerary is as follows:

  • Texas- June 28 - July 31
  • Arizona- August 1-3
  • California- August 4 -10
  • Oregon- August 11-22
  • Washington- August 23 -31

God is always at work even in those months when it seems like we haven’t accomplished great amazing works. Some months have to be those in which we’ve done “spring cleaning” and “taxes”, but God is present and moving even in those times. Remember, “He who is faithful in a little thing, is also faithful in much”.

So, thank you so much for your continued prayer and support of our ministry. We are always so thankful for you and your faithfulness each month.
May the Lord richly pour out his blessings upon you!

Blessings,
Mario & Bonnie Ducic
