Hello, February!
Greetings!

2022 is off to a great start!

I want to thank the frontline workers who have been hosting vaccination and testing sites all over our city this past month.

Together, we can continue to safeguard ourselves and our neighbors by keeping COVID-19 cases down through booster shots and at-home testing.

I recently visited Willow Glen Community Center's vaccination site to thank the nurses and volunteers who helped more of our District 6 residents become vaccinated. The Willow Glen Community Center will be hosting another drop-in clinic on Thursday, February 11, 2022, from 12noon-7pm. No appointment is needed. To be eligible, you must have no COVID-19 symptoms or be symptom-free for 10 days to attend.

This month's newsletter includes events like my Annual State of the District. I encourage you to attend so that we can brainstorm ideas on how to keep San Jose safe, clean, and thriving together. There are also crucial resources such as pick-up meals and warming locations for our 60+ population and those who need a warm place to stay during this winter season.

Stay safe and I look forward to seeing you at our 2022 State of the District.

Best,

Dev

Together we will provide updates and answer your questions. We want to work with you to accomplish goals for District 6 in 2022 that will increase the safety and happiness in our community.

Get Vaccinated or Boosted TODAY (02/03)

TODAY, 02/03, you can receive your first, second, or third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at Central YMCA.

No appointment or insurance is required to receive this vaccine. Drop-in between 12noon-7pm.

The first 25 people who attend and get vaccinated will receive one free 3-month YMCA membership. For details, see the image on the right.

Another drop-in vaccination clinic will be held at Willow Glen Community Center on Friday, February 11.
The City experienced solid revenue growth this last year, and projections are improving.

We want to develop a balanced budget that sustains the City’s delivery of core services and continues pandemic-era programs that lack ongoing funding. The first of these Community Budget Meetings will be Thursday, February 10 from 6-8pm on Zoom.

The need for community engagement is critical to the budget process as we work together to identify community priorities.
