A RECAP OF 2020
AND A LOOK AHEAD TO 2021
In 2020, we took our personalized, in-classroom workshop and we went virtual. After standing up the technology we needed to make this happen, we were unstoppable.

In total, we were able to reach nearly 140 veterans and military spouses through 15, one-week-long workshops. We averaged between 8-12 students per class – the ideal number to keep things interactive, especially over video.

Now that we have mastered the art of virtual workshops, our goal this year has grown to still 18-20 workshops and we are going to up our student allotment per class to 12-15. We feel this will still allow for the essential conversation and participation that makes the Patriots Path workshop so meaningful while increasing our ability to reach more veterans and military spouses.

PATRIOTS PATH 2021
CALENDAR AND DESCRIPTOR OF EVENTS
  • Patriots Path 5-Part Course: Also referred to as the Patriots Path Workshop, a one-week long program designed specifically for veterans making the transition from duty service to a civilian career. Workshops are offered 18-20 times per year and are also available to military spouses, members of the National Guard and the reserves.
  • Mock Interviews: The second half of each month (with a few exeptions), we host a mock interview event with 10-20 employers and 10-20 veterans and military spouses. This event is designed to get employers familiar with interviewing veterans and veterans comfortable with civilian career interviews.
  • Speed Networking: Twice a year we host the Patriots Path Speed Networking event. A crowd favorite, this event is set up like speed dating, where employers and veterans are matched together for 4-5 minutes to learn more about one another. After time is up, veterans rotate to the next employer until everyone in the room has spoken with everyone once.
  • NEW! Birkman Personality Interest Assessment Workshop: The Birkman assessment is taken as part of the Patriots Path Workshop, but is now being offered as a stand-alone workshop to provide feedback specific to the Birkman results. Students who may have missed the Birkman assessment day as part of the general Patriots Path Workshop are encouraged to attend.
  • Volunteer Appreciation: Once per year, Patriots Path volunteers are honored at an event
