$5M Gift from Perot Family

Yesterday, with much gratitude, we announced a $5 million gift from the Perot family to name our children’s park after Klyde Warren Park’s founders. The Sheila and Jody Grant Children’s Park is the first feature to be named after the Grants, who have led the effort to create and sustain the Park since 2004.

Kick off the season with this free annual Dallas tradition! Get your photo taken with Santa, read stories with Mrs. Claus and enjoy caroling with the Dallas Theater Center. Then watch the entire second act of The Nutcracker Suite performed by award-winning dancers from The Dallas Conservatory.
Remember you can also tune in to see our holiday special from the comfort of your own home on CBS 11 (December 18 at 11 PM and Christmas Day at 5 PM) and TXA Channel 21 (December 19 at 6 PM and Christmas Eve at 9 PM).

Highland Park Dance Company Performance

The Highland Park Dance Company takes the Muse Family Performance Pavilion stage this Sunday! This local studio offers private and group instruction in all areas of dance and drill team technique for ages 2-18. In addition to receiving focused instruction and physical training, students are taught the importance of character, work ethic, integrity, and how to apply these concepts to everyday life.

Lake Highlands Wildcat Wranglers in the Park

Come see the Lake Highlands Wildcat Wranglers two-step, twist and twirl with jaw-dropping stunts on Sunday. This talented group of high school juniors and seniors will dazzle you with their moves. In addition to performing at KWP, the Wranglers have danced at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York and made six consecutive appearances at the Black Tie & Boots Ball for presidential inaugurations in Washington, D.C.

Pounce on in and leave some tracks at our new forever home on the southwest corner of Pearl and Woodall Rodgers, in front of Museum Tower. Pooches, mutts, hounds and pups are all welcome at the bigger and shadier My Best Friend’s Park.
