From the College of Pharmacy:
Dr. Cynthia Jackevicius published an editorial in the Canadian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy titled, “Evidence-Based Medicine in the COVID-19 Era.” Dr. Jackevicius describes the challenges and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, with respect to generation of quality evidence in support of clinical decisions, organization of extensive volume of new data, and communication of scientific finding. All underscoring the value of evidence-based medicine.

Drs. Josephine Aranda, Shawn Smith and Hyma Gogineni and COP students Han Nguyen and Christina Jap published an article titled, “Virtual Physical Assessment Training During the COVID-19 Pandemic- Student Pharmacists’ Performance and Perceptions.” The COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected pharmacy curriculum design and delivery. In this article, the authors described the logistical modifications, discovery of innovative delivery and assessment techniques, and student pharmacist performances and perceptions in response to virtual learning in the early phase of the pandemic.
