A Special Message from the Head of School
Dear Summit Community,

When we began the school year with our commitment to 5 days of seated instruction, none of us knew how long we would be able to continue learning together on campus with still so many unknowns about the COVID-19 virus. We are all thankful to have made it to this point, together.

Thanksgiving is a time for reflecting on the things we hold dear, and I know I am grateful to be reunited with our school community this year. As we approach our first extended break of the school year, I wanted to reach out and commend our families for your diligence and commitment to wellness and safe practices that have allowed us to continue seated instruction this long. I also ask that you stay vigilant.

If you choose to travel over the holiday break or host out-of-town guests, please continue to maintain the practices that have proven effective in slowing the spread of COVID-19: frequent and thorough handwashing, maintaining appropriate physical distancing, and wearing face masks in public. Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you, again, for your continued support and encouragement as we navigate the winter months. We are encouraged by our progress this year, and we look forward to continuing learning together on campus as long as it is safe to do so.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, my Summit family!

Sincerely,

Dr. Katie Heet

Our ability to continue learning safely together on campus relies on the strength of our community.
