CHC VIRTUAL CLASSROOM


The CHC Virtual Classroom update formally started on January 8 and is expected to have small yet ongoing changes throughout the next quarter.

PURCHASES www.homehealthcerts.com are loaded directly into the User account after log out then log in.

2021 and before USERS complete courses at www.COAdmin.us.

2022 USERS complete courses at www.homehealthcerts.com.

Policies and Procedures are being updated in 2022 for Home Health and Home Care Licensure Standards. Revisions will incorporate new regulatory language that goes into effect on February 14, 2022.
Courses will be updated or re-created based on the Chapter 26 rule changes; those not affected by the changes will remain.

PHE Extended for Additional 90 Days

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has extended the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) an additional 90 days. The PHE extension became effective January 16, 2022.



OIG Plans National Hospice Audit in 2023

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Office of Inspector General (OIG) is planning a nationwide audit in 2023 of patient eligibility for hospice services. The primary focus will be on patients who did not have a hospitalization or emergency department visit before choosing hospice care.

CMS Vaccine Mandate Upheld by the Supreme Court on January 13, 2022. The decision results in enforcement nationwide for certain healthcare workers at most organizations that participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
