He walked along a little farther and saw James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They too were in a boat mending their nets. Then he called them. So they left their father Zebedee in the boat along with the hired men and followed him.

SJB Small Groups - Lent 2021 - This is for you.
|
|
St John the Baptist is launching a Small Group initiative this Lent and going forward. Small groups can create a deeper sense of community within a parish, a deeper connection and relationship with God, and expand the faith beyond parish walls.
Some parishioners are connected to a small group of some kind already and yet many of us are not. Are you connected? Do you feel like you belong? Are you just going through the motions? How are you deepening your faith?
CLICK HERE to find out more about what small group you will join this Lent!

We asked and you answered… GENEROUSLY!
We are very grateful to our parishioners and friends who, through this campaign or with their regular offerings, invest in St. John the Baptist Parish and School.
With gratitude, Your SJB Finance Council

This week students in 3K through 8th grade celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with various projects and lessons on diversity. For example, students in Mrs. Wormwood's 4K talked about what makes us all different. Mrs. Wormwood showed her students three different colored eggs and asked them how they were different. She then asked them if they thought that the eggs were different or the same inside. The students were excited to see that the eggs were the same inside! Mrs. Wormwood shared how we may look different on the outside, but we all have the same things inside like brains, hearts, and emotions. She ended with an interactive story called, The Peace Book telling the students, "The world is a better place because of YOU!"
