Salaams y'all,

It's Maryam here! I have been sick with the flu all week and it has been a difficult reminder to slow down and submit to what Allah has planned for me.

Finals and winter break are both right around the corner! There are so many things that might trigger stress for you! Do you have a wellness plan for dealing with this, or any difficult time in your life? Asking yourself some questions about what your body, mind and spirit might need during a stressful time can make it a lot easier to access those needs once you're in the midst of it! I like to use this worksheet provided by the Audre Lorde Project to help me map out my anticipated needs before a potentially stressful time in my life. I hope it's useful to some of you, whether for finals or any other time that might be difficult for you.

Take care and stay warm! Making du'a that Allah grant us all patience and guidance as we seek balance between work and play, ambition and relaxation, caring for ourselves and caring for others.

Best,
Maryam aka Mar
