Hello UTUUC Friends!   In our continued effort to stay in touch with you, we will continue our "Reflecting with the Board" sessions this upcoming Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 1pm and Monday, May 17, 2021 at 7pm. The Zoom link for both is here, Zoom ID: 921 8222 1879. These sessions are a time for us to listen to you–we want to hear how you are, as well as your ideas, suggestions, and concerns. Here are a few things we would like you to know: 

Our staff have worked diligently to create and update our new website!! It is full of useful information for our congregation! We hope you will visit it regularly at unitytemple.org for all the latest UTUUC information. We plan to have a tutorial on how to navigate our website at both of our Reflecting sessions! Please come learn more about how to use this fabulous resource.

As noted in our Ministerial Transition Updates these past few weeks, a subcommittee of the Board is busy with the Interim Minister search. We have interviewed 5 candidates. We will meet as a full board on Sunday, May 16 at 3pm to discern our final rankings of who might be best able to support us in a healthy transition from the past, into the present and on toward the future as we aspire to live into our mission. The search process calls for us to submit our candidate rankings to the UUA Transitions Office by May 17. The Transitions Office, then, will match our rankings to those of the candidates to determine to whom we will extend an offer to be our Interim Minister. We expect to have someone named by May 20, 2021. For more information, please see the Ministerial Transition tab at the bottom of our website or link here.

The Community Transformation Team continues to work on a comprehensive Phased Re-Opening Plan. Plans are in the works to start in-person activities with small group meetings. Although dates have not yet been determined, the team is targeting the end of May. Check the Unity Temple website under the Phased Re-Opening tab here for more information and updates.

Please stay tuned for updates on the farewell celebration for Rev. Taylor. The planning team continues to explore dates and venues, with some options to celebrate earlier in the summer than originally thought possible.
