Celebrate science at the annual Chandler Innovation Fair
Join the City of Chandler in celebrating the exploration of invention by attending the Chandler Innovation Fair. This free, annual event showcases businesses, artists, students and innovators in the community as Chandler participates in the statewide Arizona SciTech Festival. This year's festivities will be held in Downtown Chandler on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Chandler Innovation Fair uses 'sneaky science' to entertain the whole family while explaining how science is important to daily life. Some of last year's interactive demonstrations by Chandler's technology companies included Waymo, global engineering firm Stantec, Zovio and the PGA Tour Superstore, among others.

Local K-12 schools and organizations have once again been invited to participate in the Annual Chandler Science Spectacular Competition. Six winning teams will each be awarded a $500 prize for the most educational, most creative and most passionate projects. This year, the City is partnering with Chandler Unified School District's Innovation Fair to bring about even greater student participation.

Event sponsors that help make the Chandler Innovation Fair possible include Intel, Northrop Grumman, First Things First, and Waste Management.

West Chandler signs named 2021 Monument Sign Design winner
The City's West Chandler employment corridor signage was awarded 2021 Monument Sign Design winner by the Arizona Sign Association.

The design was submitted for consideration by custom sign builder YESCO. City Economic Development staff worked closely with YESCO to create a unique sign design for West Chandler that is intended to strengthen the area's image and sense of place.

"Our goal is to enhance the West Chandler employment corridor's sense of place through this project," said Michael Winer, Economic Development Specialist at the City of Chandler. "Working with YESCO, we were able to come up with a sign design that stands out, is on brand for our city, and includes a high-tech theme that represents the industry base in West Chandler."

YESCO has installed seven West Chandler signs so far with two more planned. Visit chandleraz.gov/westchandler for more information on the West Chandler employment corridor.
