.....The 800g Challenge allows you to eat 800 grams (by weight) of fruits and/or vegetables per day plus any other foods you want.

25 Properties to be submitted to City Code Enforcement Officers
.....With the help of Fondren residents, FRF has identified and verified 25 properties in Fondren that have probable code enforcement violations - ranging from blight, to abandoned and burned out structures, to commercial businesses in residential areas.
.....The violations cover 18 streets in Fondren with Downing Street having the most properties on the list.
.....Other streets with properties being turned over to Code Enforcement include: Hartsfield, Northview, Warrior Trail, Melbourne, Robin, Iroquios, East Mayes, Chickasaw, North State Street, Old Canton Lane, Old Canton Road, Stonewall, Hawthorn, Normandy, Henderson Circle, Cedar Hill and Brookwood.
ADA Committee sends two messages
.....The Fondren ADA Committee held its quarterly meeting last week and has two requests to convey to the Fondren Community.
.....When placing garbage cans and trash out for pick up, remember not to block the sidewalk. Clear sidewalks are critical for our neighbors with disabilities to get around. Place items at the curb or at least at the very edge of the sidewalk.
.....When considering solutions to Jackson's speeding and racing problem, look for strategies other than speed bumps - which are hazards to people in wheelchairs, as well as cyclists and emergency vehicles such as firetrucks and ambulances.
FRF Board pursuing Fondren Car Tag
....We need 300 people to commit to purchase a special Fondren car tag.
.....PJs Coffee will be the gathering spot on May 15 for the Lupus Awareness Walkathon. The event will be from 8 - 11 a.m. There will be refreshments, door prizes and information on Lupus,a chronic disease that can cause inflammation and pain in any part of your body.
