UNPACKING RACISM COMMUNITY FORUM
In this public forum on December 3 at 6:30pm, we ask for your reflections and ideas to help guide crucial action essential to making Swampscott welcoming for all. Pre-registration required.
TOWN HALL OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Due to a dramatic rise in positive COVID-19 cases in Swampscott, Swampscott Town Hall will be open to the public by appointment only starting Monday, November 30. Most necessary transactions can be performed online at www.swampscottma.gov, or call to make an appointment at 781-596-8850.
COVID-19 UPDATE
Starting Saturday, December 5, the location of COVID-19 testing will be relocated from the First Church on Monument Ave. to the Field House at Phillips Park located at 585 Humphrey Street. Vehicles will line-up in the parking lot.

Testing days are: Mondays - Friday from 2:30-6:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm.
Protect Yourself from Telephone Unemployment Scams!

The Swampscott Police Department has received daily reports from residents who are the target of telephone unemployment scams. Residents are encouraged to not give out sensitive financial or identifying information over the phone. When in doubt call the Swampscott Police Department at (781) 595-1111.

Individuals who believe they may have had a false unemployment claim filed using their identity are urged to utilize the Department of Unemployment Assistance fraud contact form at mass.gov/unemployment-fraud or to call the Department of Unemployment Assistance customer service department at 877-626-6800. For more information on how to spot potential scams, visit the mass.gov site here.

Residents can now check out internet hotspots from the library which is perfect for those without internet connection in their home who still want to stay connected!

The Senior Center continues to help serve our senior community during this difficult time. They distributed wellness packages and pizza to 60 seniors and delivered 40 bags to isolated seniors.

The Senior Center and Anchor Food Pantry also partnered to distribute groceries for Thanksgiving to over 100 families.

SANTA'S CALLING
Santa wants to make your child feel special this holiday season with an unforgettable gift: A personalized phone call from jolly Old St. Nick himself! Santa will be calling children on Tuesday, December 8.

Join Swampscott Recreation via Zoom on Friday, December 11 at 7pm for a fun and educational virtual wine tasting event, with a tour of 3 delicious wines.

LIGHT UP SWAMPSCOTT
Decorate your home and be voted the most festive home or business in Town! Register and have your lights up by December 15th.

9TH ANNUAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE CONTEST
Submit your photos of your gingerbread house masterpieces to be voted on virtually. Photos must be received by December 15.

A VISIT FROM SANTA
Santa has teamed up with Swampscott Recreation to come visit boys and girls at your home on December 19th. There is currently a waiting list for this program.

New granite marker, granite curbing, and pavers at Preston Beach.
  • The first phase of the Preston Beach Entrance Improvements has been completed. Stay tuned for new plantings and the installation of a bike rack this Spring!
  • The pitcher's mound at the varsity baseball diamond has been rebuilt.
  • Line painting at various crosswalks, stop bars, and lanes was completed
  • The Kings Beach Seawall Repair project continues.

Swampscott for All Ages Committee

As part of their ongoing Stay Connected virtual series, Swampscott for All Ages (SFAA) presents Andrea Cordis, who will do a HomeFit presentation via Zoom on December 3 at 6:00 pm. This is a presentation developed by AARP.

This presentation offers a virtual tour through a home to show various ways to make the home more friendly as people age.

SFAA will also discuss the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC) funding program available to homeowners who need to make home modifications allowing them to continue to live in their home in the case where a physical disability makes it difficult.
HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION DAY
There are a lot of fluids and materials in your house and garage that should never be thrown away in your household trash. On Tuesday, December 8, the Town of Swampscott and Marblehead invite you to participate in Household Hazardous Waste Community Collection Day. Visit the REGISTRATION PAGE to view a list of eligible hazardous waste and to schedule a pick-up at your home.
