Celebrating and Recognizing OKCMAR's 2020 RPAC Major Investors
When the National Association of REALTORS® created the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) over 50 years ago, it was to ensure that the profession had a voice in federal, state and local governments. It started with the most successful REALTORS® in our profession giving big dollars to get it started.

Over time, it became more important to get every REALTOR® to step up and invest in RPAC. Today, it is important to have both. But to continue the work, we still need our leaders and most successful REALTORS® to close the fundraising gap each year. This year was exceptionally tough.

OKCMAR would like to recognize and show appreciation to those who have stepped up in 2020 in support of the profession and the industry. This was especially important during the pandemic. With the many challenges that our country had to face and the impact on our fellow REALTORS®, RPAC proved its worth. By using the clout and expertise that have accumulated, REALTORS® played a role in drafting and pushing legislation and policies that protected many in the profession, helping them survive and succeed during the pandemic.

To the 2020 OKCMAR Major Investors who once again invested over $1000 or more to RPAC, we say thank you!

Pricing Strategies: Mastering the CMA

As REALTORS® we should always strive to be better at our craft.  As a broker/owner and REALTOR® I am excited to be taking the upcoming Pricing Strategy Advisor certification course.  We know that pricing a property is one of the main components of getting a listing sold.  In a low inventory market, it is extremely important for REALTORS® on both the buyer and seller's side to know how to properly price a property to make sure they are working in the best interest of their clients to avoid longer days on market, low appraisals, contracts not closing - and to win a potential multiple offer situation.  Having a REALTOR® who knows their market and how to price a property correctly definitely puts a client at a better advantage over the competition.

The Oklahoma Housing Foundation, which is run by the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS®, serves as an online resource connecting Oklahomans in crisis with housing solutions. The foundation creates partnerships with community outreach organizations and empowers REALTORS® across the state to meet the needs of their communities.

"I am proud to be a part of an organization making significant contributions to help people in their most trying times," said 2021 MLSOK President Monty Strickland. "We appreciate the mission of the Oklahoma Housing Foundation and thank them for all that they do."

2020 MLSOK President Jeff Langum said supporting the community is important to REALTORS®.

"Funding the Oklahoma Housing Foundation means our neighbors will have somewhere to turn when they suffer a tragedy and when natural disasters strike," Langum said. "This is a critical way to protect our communities."

The Oklahoma Housing Foundation operates based on donations, partnerships with local REALTOR® associations and proceeds from the state's REALTOR® license plate.
