Vaccines for Children COVID-19 Update
A Message from the NJ Department of Health Regarding VFC Ordering of COVID-19 Vaccine Doses

In preparation for the launch of the COVID-19 pediatric vaccines for children under 5 years of age we want to ensure that as many Vaccines for Children (VFC) providers as possible are administering COVID-19 vaccines. VFC providers play a pivotal role in immunizing our most vulnerable population.

If you have not enrolled to provide COVID-19 vaccines, we ask that you do so as soon as possible. If you are enrolled, we ask that you be sure to order vaccines for children under 5 years of age when they are available, and that you redouble efforts to vaccinate all children 5 – 17 years of age.

Since all VFC providers are already users of the New Jersey Immunization Information System (NJIIS), VFC providers need only electronically complete the CDC’s COVID-19 Vaccination Provider Agreement which is available through NJIIS.

For assistance with completing the application, please see the document available on the NJIIS website.

For additional information on CDC’s COVID-19 Vaccination Program provider requirements and support, please see the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/vaccination-provider-support.html.

For questions about the NJ COVID-19 program, please see the NJIIS website.
