Letter from the President

Hi Team,

Lots of events going on in October. Please be sure to read all the information we are sending out.

We have membership renewals (October is the only month for the discount and to get a t-shirt with membership). The new 2022 team kits, store closes Oct 11 (this will be the only order for 2022 race year).

Be sure to come out to the team social/tire change clinic October 3^rd, 4pm at Fleet Feet High Point. If you are considering joining the full membership, this is a great time to come out and meet people and learn more about what we do!

Race, volunteer or cheer at the following races/events:

Natty Green’s- Oct 9^th and Gears and Beers Ride for Hospice- Oct 10^th!

Athlete of the Month

Cary Gentry

Meet Cary!

Cary has been a triathlete FOREVER!! Well, not forever but a long time. He started over 22 years ago with a sprint tri, where he said he was so nervous at the swim and used his old mountain bike. After that race, he was hooked and has been going ever since. A little fact about Cary Gentry, he was our very own Triad Tri Team President a few years back. He brought a lot to this team when he was president and is still giving back to our community. Cary is funny, fast and a meteorologist!! Maybe that is why he is fast as lightening!! RECIPE OF THE MONTH

From Chef Keith Gardiner

Pasta prima vera with fresh basil

4 C cut vegetables of your choice

4 C cooked pasta

1 C chopped basil

½ C parmesan cheese

¼ C olive oil

¼ C balsamic vinegar

½ tsp chopped garlic

Method

Sautee garlic in oil, add vegetables & cook till tender, add pasta & cook till hot, add vinegar, add cheese & basil, season with salt & pepper, serve with crushed red pepper
