Baruch Dayan Emet (Praised be the Judge of Truth)
It is with great sadness that I inform the congregation of the passing of Amalia Hanit, beloved mother of Yaffa Gross and mother in law of Pinchas Gross.  The funeral took place this morning in Israel.

A Zoom shiva will be held on Wednesday from 7-8 PM.  You can access it by clicking on this link.  The passcode is 139160.

From the obituary:

Amalia Hanit (Nee Goldman), passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, the 28th day of Tishrei, 5781, in Israel.
She was born in Lasi, Romania in 1927. She survived the infamous Lasi Pogrom of 1941, but tragically lost her brother, Pollik, who was murdered during the pogrom. She made Aliyah to Israel in 1951, and married my father Moshe Hanit Z"l , who immigrated to Israel from Poland around the same time.  They were really part of the founding generation of Israel, struggling daily and helping to build up the new State of Israel.  With much love and sacrifice, they raised a wonderful family in Israel, and she leaves behind four children, 13 grandchildren and 10 grand-grandchildren. May her memory be an inspiration to all of us.
May the mourners be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
