Message from the Principal
I am so proud to share that this past Friday we held our first True Giant celebration of the 2021-2022 school year.  During this time, we honored over 50 students, nominated by staff members, for many different things - the positive attributes that enhance a class, commitment to a program, extraordinary kindness, and many other reasons.  I always have so much pride in my school, but on this day I was bursting with it!

In the Activities section you will see more information about next week's HPHS Week of Gratitude.  It starts on Monday with one of my favorite activities - Hot Cocoa Monday!

I also want to share this great opportunity to give back to our community.  The Sunset Foods Holiday Fundraiser 2021 has returned and will be held at the HP location from Friday, December 3 through Sunday, December 5.  Customers will have the opportunity to add a cash donation to their total bill at check-out, with the proceeds going to the Moraine Township Food Pantry.  Volunteers are needed!  If you are interested, please sign up HERE and click here for the flyer . Any questions, please reach out to Trustee Mark Haggarty.

Seniors - Class of 2022!
  • All families should have received a postcard from HPHS/Jostens regarding yearbook baby picture ads. Please note that while the deadline is in January, we hope families wishing to participate will take advantage of the upcoming breaks from school to submit their photo and well wishes online. CLICK HERE to submit. Your submission helps support the yearbook design.
  • GrandGIANTs VIP Day tour registration continues to be open for students/families interested in coming to HPHS on Tuesday, November 23, 3:30 - 5 PM.  CLICK HERE to register before November 22, 2021.
ATHLETICS
Congrats to sophomore Nate Wehner who competed in the Boys Cross Country State Finals on Saturday. Also, congratulations to our Girls Swim and Dive Program. They had a great performance on Saturday at the Lake Forest Sectional and a handful of our swimmers will be competing at the State Championship Meet. Check out @HPHS_Athletics on Twitter for updates from the State Swim Meet this weekend.

Over the past two weeks Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Girls Gymnastics and Wrestling have started practicing. Boys Swimming begins on November 22nd. Good luck to everyone involved.
