As of the beginning of May our Children’s Garden, with its lovely plants and seating, will be open again – come check out some books and read them in the sunshine!
May is a somewhat quiet month, as we gear up for a busy summer, but we’re offering two special programs: Family Craft Time where kids make suncatchers, and a Bike & Pedestrian Safety program presented by AAA to help youngsters be mindful of safety now that they’re outdoors more. Additionally, you’ll find our usual array of storytimes, book groups, science and cooking projects, programs for babies and preschoolers, and our “Book a Craft” kits.
And, speaking of the summer – we’re working hard to provide a great roster of Summer Programs for your family, full of entertaining and educational events. We’re excited about new and unique programs we have scheduled – Frisbee-catching dogs, Beluga whales, Native American storyteller, yoga, birds of prey -- plus storytimes, music, science, puppets, storywalks, and more!
We’re also happy that we’ll be able to offer more in-person programs again this summer (while still accommodating ongoing Covid-19 safety precautions).
Last but not least, we can help your kids keep track of their summer learning with our new Summer Activity Log or using the on-line app Beanstack – including lots of fun incentives!
Keep your eyes on the library website as we roll out the schedule and registration in the next few weeks – you won’t want to miss the fun!
