Rev. Dr. Jaime Clark-Soles is holding a special lecture and Q&A session in the Casual Worship Center on Saturday, October 2 at 9:00 a.m. on her book 1 Corinthians: Searching the Depths of God. Not unlike the church today, the people in Corinth were dealing with factions, sexual immorality, money issues, theological questions, problems in worship, and problems in leadership. These topics will be explored as well as the awe-inspiring world of the first-century church. Rev. Clark-Soles is Professor of New Testament and Altshuler Distinguished Teaching Professor at Perkins School of Theology at SMU. Registration is required. Please go to www.broadmoormethodist.org to sign up today!

FYI...Rev. Dr. Jaime Clark-Soles will also be preaching on Sunday, October 3 in a special combined service at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We will also be celebrating Communion on this day.

New Sermon Series & Devotional Study

Now and again, we may experience God in dramatic ways. But usually, God is found in the quiet, everyday moments of ordinary life. Our next sermon series The Ordinary Ways of God begins on October 10. In this series, which focuses on the Book of Ruth, we will look at how God is subtly at work in the lives of ordinary people struggling with the ups and downs and sorrows and joys of life. And through their lives, we discover how God uses the ordinary moments to accomplish extraordinary purposes. As part of our series and church-wide study, every household will receive a copy of David H. Roseberry’s book. Pick up your family’s copy in Connection Café, the lobby of the Adult Building, or outside the Sanctuary next Sunday.
Offer Your Gifts to the Lord
You don't have to wait until Sundays to give your gifts to the Lord. You don't even have to worship in-person!
God is working through the church and you no matter what day it is or where you are. Because of the generosity of folks like you, we have been able to feed almost over 50,000 hungry people at Red Stick Together and provide weekly online worship experiences to hundreds that are still worshiping at home. Please continue to support the mission and ministries of Broadmoor United Methodist through your gifts. You can give safely and securely online HERE or via text by texting BMOOR to 73256 and following the prompts. We are grateful for your generosity!
