“This is a wonderful day I have never seen this one before.”
~ Maya Angelou
Greetings!

It's always important to reflect on all of the blessings we have. The gift of sunshine on our azure waters, the enduring appeal of sea turtles and other marine creatures, and yes, the color in every rainbow that appears after a rain shower on St.John! We are grateful for the beauty in our Park, for the honor and privilege of working to help protect and preserve it, and for the incredible support that you provide!

Together with your donations, we pulled off an incredible year against some impressive odds. Highlights include hundreds of volunteers working on our trails, 2634 sea turtle hatchlings making it to the water, and the production of a Folk Life Festival documentary that educated and engaged hundreds of students. So, thank you! Your support protects and preserves our treasured Park’s natural and cultural resources for the next generation. Our hope is they love it as much as we do!

Gratitude is something that we should be able to express on any occasion! This weekend I thank you for you love of our Park, for your hours of hard work and sweat as volunteers, and for your donations that enable us to help protect and preserve the natural and cultural resources of Virgin Islands National Park. It is an honor to work on your behalf!

May you be blessed with joy and appreciation of the natural world around us that gifts us so much! Happy Thanksgiving!

Warmly,
Tonia Lovejoy, Executive Director
