THE BEE HOTEL - WELCOMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER
The Bee Hotel, an urban boutique property in downtown Danville, welcomed their new General Manager, Madison Eades in February. Madison most recently worked for the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Member Engagement, and prior to that, for another Marshall Hotels & Resorts property, The Virginian Hotel in Lynchburg, VA.
With its buzzworthy backstory and unique urban boutique style, The Bee is making headlines in Danville, Virginia’s bustling River District. The 47-room newcomer is located in what was once home to the city’s iconic broadsheet, The Danville Register & Bee, now freshly reimagined as a warm and welcoming home base for business travelers and Virginia vacationers. History and newspaper buffs will delight in The Bee’s architectural details and the thoughtful attention paid to honoring the legacy of Danville Register and Bee.
From the original wood floors of the “Old Bee” to the spiral staircase that once ran from the press room to the editor’s office of the “New Bee,” the hotel retains many of the historic features that made the two buildings beloved landmarks in downtown Danville. Guests of The Bee enjoy an unmatched downtown location within easy walking distance of the historic Dan River.
