ECAO Welcomes New President!

ECAO Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ken Crawford as President of the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO), effective May 20, 2021.

Ken Crawford President of C&M Electric, has been actively involved in both the electrical industry and C&M Electric for over 35 years.

Ken is also very active with the Electrical Contractors Association of Ottawa, Ottawa Construction Association and the ECAO.

ECAO, our Board, Executive, and staff are looking forward to continuing our upward trajectory with Ken as our President!

Brad Walker was appointed ECAO President in October 2019. Brad is the Area Manager for Laframboise Group based in Long Sault Ontario, with offices based in the US.

We want to thank Brad for navigating the ECAO during the COVID-19 Pandemic and working to keep Ontario’s ECAO Electrical Contractors working safely during this challenging time.

During his tenure as ECAO President, Brad has led the ECAO in a new strategic direction with the launch of ECAO’s new Mission and Vision Statements.

New Skilled Trades Ontario to replace Ontario College of Trades
The Ontario government has announced that a new Crown agency to be known as Skilled Trades Ontario will replace the Ontario College of Trades (OCOT). The new act is designed to make the province’s skilled trades and apprentice system easier to navigate, as well as more accessible.
