Greetings ADOMA and Friends of ADOMA,

As we come to the end of 2020, I feel like we have all been cheated in all avenues of our lives. Due to government restrictions, we have not been able to meet monthly, let alone gather for our annual conferences. With the world slowing but surely trying to get back to some type of normal, the Executive Board has been working to be ready for that most wished for day. We are currently planning a Christmas dinner for all chapters! I know I would love to see everyone and share a little Christmas cheer. The board feels since some areas are allowing gathering, we are trying really hard to make this event happen. So please, stay tuned to the NewsTrax newsletter and chapters emails for the latest updates on the ADOMA Christmas dinner.
Our online meetings are going to remain in place for a while longer. There are some changes coming regarding viewing and attending the online meetings.

2020 laws modify the CCPA

Governor Newsom signed two new laws at the end of the legislative session this year that modify the California Consumer Privacy Act. Most crucially for the majority of businesses in California, one of the laws extends the temporary employee and business-to-business (“B2B”) exemptions from the definition of “Consumer” in the CCPA. The second changes how businesses must treat health privacy.
