Postcard from President Deb:
Dear Members and Friends of Impact100 Chicago,
Now all the excitement of finalizing our grants for the past year has calmed, it’s time to get down to the basics.
Frankly, the last 3 years have been a struggle to reach 100 members. Long-standing members moved out of state, decided to explore other philanthropic opportunities and of course, we had a pandemic. We managed either through the generous supplemental donations of a few members or the fact Shelter, Inc. did not use all their allotted funds.
Our safety nets over the last 3 years have been depleted. This year, we need 100 members to be able to award $100,000. Actually, we need 110 members in order to be able to award $100,000 to one NFP and $5,000 to the two other finalists.
I ask you to please join for the coming year. Many of you are faithful year after year and we truly appreciate your generosity. Some of you have taken a pause – which we totally understand – maybe this is the year to re-engage. Some are faithful followers but have never made the commitment.
Regardless, please consider joining in September.
And, just think – if we all asked just 1 new person to join!
