From the Desk of the Director
In the chaos around us, I’m seeing one theme in the Catholic sphere this week. Fundamentals. Back to basics. One author on Catholic Culture put it as, “Christian results can only flow from Christian faith”. On The Catholic Thing, they put it as “repairing the foundations”. We can’t see the fruits of a Christian world if we are not living the faith ourselves. We can’t build up strong families and homes if the foundation is cracked. So many of today’s tragedies are simply a result of attempts at right living gone wrong. Wrong because we wanted no boundaries; wrong because we wanted rewards without work; wrong because we insisted on heaven with no hell. Sadly this course correction will be necessary and painful. We pray that we are up to the task of righting our paths. It is essential for us, but critical for the generations to come.

We offer special prayers on this anniversary of 9/11, for all the souls of the departed, their families, and our country.

On a happy note, tonight we’ve got faith and fun together. Friday night football finds St. Michael and McGill both playing. Join our broadcasts and keep up with your favorite team.

Have a blessed week.

LA Catholic Morning!

Live from the Command Center
While it was tough to hear that McGill Toolen and St Michael CHS, suffered their first loss of the season, I am grateful still for the opportunity to both work and listen to the broadcast, especially given the uncertain times in which we live. So PRAISE GOD!!! HE is GREAT!! Speaking of great, we have another great line up on LA Catholic Morning next week! Ashley McGuire of the Catholic Association joins on Monday to discuss legislation that has bolstered the prolife movement the past few years. Tom Gilson will be our guest on Tuesday to share his latest book that is transforming the way we look at Christ, entitled Too Good to be False. Speaking of Christ, on Wednesday, Fr Benedict Kiely joins us to talk about the radicalization of the Gospel. Abigail Shrier, who had to reschedule due to a sore throat this week, will be our guest on Thursday to share about her book, Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters. Finally, on Friday, David Sterrett discusses his article on the critical race theory that has swept our nation recently.

Don't forget to call your Mama! She loves you!

Blessings!
