JUNE PARENT NEWS
Dear Parents,

Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in the weeds and focus on the immediate without seeing the big picture, isn’t it? As I reflect on the past school year, amidst the grind of a changed and challenging world, it is abundantly clear that God was with us the whole time. Isn’t that the beauty of hindsight? There have been so many markers of God’s faithfulness along the way! We remained open, conducting in-person classes all year. Faculty expanded their teaching methods to include technology they likely never dreamed would be necessary. Our athletic teams competed in more inter-collegiate games than any other university in the NCAA D3, with the baseball team concluding its season this past Monday one game away from advancing to the D3 World Series. Music and theatre performed throughout the year, both indoors and outdoors. Our Nursing program is #1 in the state of MN, and on and on! Like a muscle, growth rarely happens without tension, and I firmly believe that we will be better and stronger both personally and as a university because of this past year. Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you in a few months!

In Christ,

Scott Anderson ‘84

PARENT BLOG
This has been a life-altering, world shaking year. We need to be conscious that our students have experienced a cultural shift that could mean a transitioning to a post-pandemic world or just back into life at home with us feels like a culture shock. A giant dose of compassion and some thoughtful conversations may help set the stage for success as we all take time to reboot our post-pandemic family relationships. I guarantee we’ve had a year that gives your young adult lots to talk with you about.
