Attention Hunters: CAM's Pheasant Hunt Takes Place October 22nd
|
|
Join CAM's group of shooters for a full day of networking and a test of your shooting skills! The European Pheasant Hunt is the perfect fit for those looking for a unique and challenging hunting experience.
Friday, October 22nd
Crooked Foot Upland Bird and Game Hunting Club, Owosso
The course is comprised of pairs of shooters positioned at blinds. The blinds encircle a concealed tower from which pheasants are released. Hunters rotate around the tower, ensuring an abundance of shooting from all directions. After the tower hunt, shooters return to the clubhouse for a hearty lunch, raffles, and door prizes. Then guides and dogs will return to the fields for an optional walk-up hunt! Harvested birds are cleaned and packaged - approximately 5 per shooter. CLICK HERE to register.

The course details “hands-only” CPR, first aid, choking in adults, signs, and symptoms of heart attack and stroke, and treatment for shock. Job Safety Analysis (JSA) has been identified as a key component in an effective Safety and Health Management System. The annual Building Connections event, taking place on September 23rd, is the largest annual gathering of the construction community in southeastern Michigan, providing a unique opportunity for informal business and social interaction while supporting the Scouting program for area youth and their families. In conjunction with CAM, the Executive Committee of Building Connections is pleased to offer this opportunity to network, socialize and support a worthy cause with all members of the industry, from general contractors, subcontractors and developers, to architects, designers, engineers and a multitude of vendors. AHA and Carhartt Present "Hard Hats with Heart"
|
|
The American Heart Association has partnered with the Carhartt Workshop in Detroit to shine a light on health issues that disproportionately impact workers in the construction industry through “Hard Hats with Heart.” The campaign brings together general contractors, subcontractors, health care and business executives to bring awareness to the prevalence of heart disease in the construction industry and showcases how creating a culture of wellness within companies can make a big difference.
As a part of the AHA’s and Carhartt’s commitment to promoting safety across the construction industry and beyond, CPR & First Aid Anywhere Training Kits will become available on July 20th for checkout from the Carhartt Workshop Tool Bench in Midtown Detroit.
Also on July 20th, there will be a 15-minute Toolbox Talk beginning at noon virtually, live via the American Heart Association’s Facebook page and zoom from the Carhartt Workshop.

Get Involved with NOMA Detroit's Project Pipeline
|

The Detroit Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects' Project Pipeline serves a diverse population of students, all of whom are underrepresented in architecture and adjacent professions. The program teaches young people how to understand the significance of architecture in their daily lives and the broader cultural, social, and historical implications. Volunteers are needed to help guide students through all stages of design using provoking and fun exercises. The COVID-19 pandemic put mental health issues front and center and created an unexpected opportunity for employers to better support their employees.
