November Canadian Newsletter
Greetings!

I hope that you and your families are healthy and staying safe as we start November. The month is known as lystopad in Ukrainian, literally the falling leaves, although some of us have already seen the first snow! It’s hard to believe it was just a year ago that hundreds of delegates were in Ottawa for the XXVI Triennial Congress. We have some videos on our website XXVI Triennial Congress video .

November 11th is Remembrance Day, when we pay tribute to our veterans, who bravely defended our freedom through the decades. An important film about the Ukrainian Canadian contribution to the Allied war effort in World War II premieres online on November 6

Later in November we will commemorate National Holodomor Remembrance Day and National Holodomor Awareness Week. On November 22 the UCC will host the first-ever national online Holodomor Commemoration. Please see the link below for more events throughout Canada.

Take care and be safe!

DONOR'S CORNER
UCC President’s Club Member: JoAnne Gludish
While driving behind a bus recently, I noticed a Tryzub (Trident) on an advertisement and thought to myself, “Ukrainians are everywhere”! When I looked closer, I recognized one of our loyal president’s club member, Ms. JoAnne Gludish advertising her business!

Seeing the Tryzub being shown so proudly reminds me how much passion our community and UCC family members have towards their heritage. I contacted Ms. Gludish as soon as I got home and congratulated her on her success and commended her for her spirit in proudly showing her roots!
