Principal's Message

Middle School Families:

As you can see from this edition of the OT News, there is a lot going on when we return from Spring Break.

We welcome the opportunity for students to shine at both MCA testing as well as student led conferences. Just like in the fall with MAP testing, we are asking for parent volunteers to help us with hallway/bathroom supervision.

  • April 18 There are two morning shifts (8:45-10:15am) (10-11:30)
  • April 25 There are two morning shifts (8:45-10:15am) (10-11:30)
  • May 3rd There are two morning shifts (8:45-10:15am) (10-11:30)

Please use this link to volunteer.

We are trying something new for scheduling our Student Led Conferences. Instead of SignUp Genius, we are trying a new Google Calendar feature to help make signing up for conferences as easy as possible. On Monday 4/10, please look for an email from your student's Advisory teacher to schedule a time/date.

I hope your Spring Break is relaxing and brings renewed energy to your family!

Thank you for your continued support of our entire Middle School community.

Interim Principal

Middle School Highlights

Art Museum of Plastic Waste

6th graders worked hard on this project and it really turned out! They selected a research question related to plastic and dove into learning. Then they developed awareness of their own plastic consumption by saving their plastic waste for one week. From their plastic waste they created beautiful plastic art pieces.
