Nearly one in 10 U.S. businesses plan to lay off workers during the final three months of the year as a result of the outbreak, according to a survey of human resource executives at 330 companies conducted by the Conference Board last month.

The latest Duetto Pulse Report, which tracked data from October 5-18, showed an increased interest in travel across the United States and Canada. Despite this, a lack of long-term confidence means that pick-up is still not where it should be for this period compared to last year.

This year, WH&LA will disburse $3,000 through its two scholarship programs for hotel management and hospitality students in Wisconsin. We are accepting applications until 5 pm on November 20 for the WH&LA Merit Scholarships and Cal Worrell Memorial Scholarship.
