Cold Weather Announcement: As cold weather descends on the Chicagoland area, here are some important items for parents to know.
- Students will remain inside when air temperatures or wind chill temperatures are forecasted to be single digits or lower.
- Some classroom windows will continue to be cracked open to bring in fresh air.
- The heat will be turned up, but send your student with layers to stay warm in the classroom! We recommend one layer be kept in their locker as an extra when necessary.
- We will monitor the temperature in classrooms. If it becomes too difficult to keep classrooms at a reasonable temperature for learning, we will pivot to remote learning.
- If the temperatures become so cold that it is unsafe to travel to school, we will announce a remote learning day.
