EPSDT

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and CCOs are required to cover the full scope of Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) services for children from birth until their 21st birthday. Under EPSDT, the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) covers any medically necessary and medically appropriate service for enrolled children and youth until their 21st birthday, regardless of the Prioritized List.

PHARMACY FORMULARY UPDATES

Effective April 1, 2023; Albuterol HFA will be limited to ONE inhaler per 30 days without a prior authorization.

If your patient has asthma and needs more than 1 albuterol HFA inhaler per month, please consider changing to budesonide/formoterol, as it can be used as a rescue and a maintenance inhaler.

If your patient has COPD and needs more than 1 albuterol inhaler, please consider starting Incruse Ellipta. If your patient is already on Incruse Ellipta and symptoms aren’t managed, please consider submitting a prior authorization request for a combination inhaler.
