New Summer Ros�s are Here!
This summer we are featuring an appealing array of dry Ros�s with a focus on Southern France. There, Ros� is king and in some places, the only wine made. The taste is dry, the fruit integrated and the acid crisp and poignant. There is an ongoing battle about Ros� wine in America. The wine's reputation is tainted and misrepresented by decades of domestic interpretations in the form of over-produced, overly sweet, white zinfandel and blush. We invite you to shed any previous opinions and explore Ros� at River Oaks! These wines make a great companion to chef Jos�'s seasonal dishes. Chef Jos� Travels to Charleston for
2013 Les Ma�tres Cuisiniers de France and
L'Acad�mie Culinaire de France North American Conference
|
Chef Jos� and more than 100 French Master Chefs ( Les Ma�tres Cuisiniers de France) will convene in Charleston June 23 - 25 for meetings, culinary festivities and presentation of new members. This 2013 conference will be attended by North American delegates and international leadership, along with distinguished guests. The stage for the conference will be several impressive historic Charleston venues. The Ma�tre Cuisinier de France distinction comprises an elite international assembly of the most highly skilled chefs in techniques and traditions of the French culinary art. The renowned membership includes only 65 chefs in the U.S., 200 in France, with a total of only 350 worldwide. Designations are awarded by the Paris-based L'Association des Ma�tres Cuisiniers de France whose motto is to "preserve and spread the French culinary art, encourage training in cuisine and assist in professional development." In 2011, chef Jos� was named their Master Chef of the Year.
