The Miracles from 2020

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021!

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matt. 11:28-30)

May this scripture bring reassurance and become our revelation as we enter the NEW 2021! Whatever is troubling your mind, stealing your peace, or contributing to your fears is a burden that must be released to the Lord. In this verse, Jesus was speaking to the Jewish farmers. They understood how to plow their land by yoking either two oxen together that were equal to each other in size, or when training a younger ox, by yoking the stronger and more experienced ox to the younger ox.

However, the yoke around the younger ox would fit loosely since they were much smaller in size, transferring the burden of the yoke and the work of the land onto the shoulders of the older ox, allowing the younger one to tag along without the added pressure.

I want to encourage you as we step into 2021 to yoke yourself with THE ONE who is not only able to carry you and all of your burdens, but who also knows the WAY and wants to give your soul perfect rest.

Our HOPE, PEACE, JOY and LOVE have been restored because of Christ: His coming, death and resurrection. May they always be a part of our lives this year as we embrace His plans and purposes for us!

REMEMBERING 2020

At the start of a New Year, we ways look back with gratitude on all that God has done for us in the previous year as we focus our eyes on His faithfulness and plans for our future.

While 2020 did not turn out to be the year many expected and hoped for, we who have Christ can always live our lives with a deep assurance of His presence with us, and with a hopeful expectancy of what is ahead. Although global and political events, natural disasters, diseases or a loss of loved ones may try to bring disturbance and fear to us, our HOPE and FAITH when rooted in God and His word will continue to carry us forth!

While our faith was tried many times in 2020, I am so proud of our international leaders and volunteers, as well as our American team, who pressed through each lockdown and each new challenge presented because of Covid-19, trusting the Lord and working tirelessly in order for underprivileged children and their families to experience God’s love in a tangible way.

At the same time, I want to express my deep appreciation for all of YOU - our friends and partners - for your generosity, prayers and continuous encouragement. I have said it before, but it’s worth repeating – we have THE BEST partners we could ask for! You have enabled all of us to continue to grow, to minister and to bless many! THANK YOU!!

As you read through these high-lights and look at the pictures, LET’S CELEBRATE TOGETHER the goodness of God, who turns everything meant for evil into good, and protects His children! 2020 has been a year of above and beyond what we could have asked or imagined!
