Restaurant Revitalization Fund Application is Open
Starting yesterday, Monday, May 3, PT, restaurant owners, food service providers, bars, food trucks, breweries, wineries, bakeries, and caterers can begin submitting applications for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Learn more about how to apply through this link.

Established under the 'American Rescue Plan,' and signed into law by President Joe Biden on March 11, 2021, the 'Restaurant Revitalization Fund' provides a total of $28.6 billion in direct relief funds to restaurants and other hard-hit food establishments that have experienced economic distress and significant operational losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location. Funds must be used for allowable expenses by March 11, 2023.

2021 Golden Acorn Awards
The Golden Acorn Awards, now in its forty-fourth year, is a Menlo Park tradition. This year the Chamber recognition will focus on Excellence During Crisis, community contributions in support of COVID-19 relief. Efforts in the fields of Business Excellence, Community Service, Leadership, and the Unsung Hero will be celebrated.

The award ceremony will take place virtually on Thursday, May 20 at 5 pm. Our keynote speaker is Ahmad Thomas, CEO, Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG).

Registration for this event will open next week!

Around Menlo Park
A Gift of Dance! Honoring Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month
One of Menlowe Ballet's core tenets has always been to present works rooted in different cultural traditions. Since its inception in 2011, each seasonal program has featured an original cultural work by Artistic Director Michael Lowe. Michael is a storyteller at heart, often calling upon his Chinese/Korean heritage for inspiration in weaving his choreographic tales. To create his ballets he immerses himself in research, traveling to places including China, Mongolia, and Russia.

To celebrate the diversity and cultural richness of his works, Menlowe Ballet is delighted to share with you excerpts from several of Michael’s ballets. Dance has the power to move us, connecting us to our humanity and to each other.

The video is available from May 1 to May 9 (Password is LOWE).
