2023 Clintonville 8th Grade Career Fair

Did you know that FVTC Clintonville Regional Center, Clintonville Public School District, Clintonville Chamber and Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce team together to bring career exploration to our 8th Grade students in Clintonville? Did you know we bring 16 schools, over 1,000 students from all over the area to show off over 50 businesses career trades from our area? All of this could not be possible without the amazing dedication from our businesses!

WMC is accepting nominations for the 33rd Annual Business Friend of the Environment Awards, honoring companies that have made significant improvements in the areas of sustainability, environmental innovation and environmental stewardship. The goal of this awards program is to demonstrate to state policymakers, businesses and the public that sound environmental practices are good for Wisconsin and its business environment.
 
If you feel your company, or a company you may have worked with, strove for environmental excellence in 2022, recognize it by submitting a nomination. Self-nominations are encouraged and detailed nomination applications are greatly appreciated.
Awards Information
 
Nominations Due: May 22, 2023
 
The awards are available to private industry companies headquartered or with significant operations in Wisconsin. The awards are given annually to companies that demonstrate environmental leadership. Companies are encouraged to self-nominate. While government entities are not eligible for the awards, they are encouraged to nominate businesses.
 
The awards will focus on the following three areas:
 
·       Sustainability
·       Use of Innovative Technology
·       Environmental Stewardship
 
Three winners will be selected in each of these three categories. In each category, an award will be given to a small, medium and large business.

Feonix - Mobility Rising is seeking drivers to provide transportation for access to jobs and non-emergency medical care throughout Waupaca County. Work with a dedicated team of experienced and passionate individuals who are changing the world one ride at a time; utilizing innovative technology and compassionate care, to assist people from all backgrounds. As a Feonix Driver you will contribute to the community in an impactful way, and truly make a difference in so many lives.

On Friday, May 12, 2023, Unity, Northeast Wisconsin’s nonprofit leader in hospice care, supportive care, nonmedical home care and grief support, will host its second annual Luminary Walk to raise funds for Unity Grief and Education Center, the region’s only freestanding Center designed to support individuals and families of all ages who have experienced a death. The Luminary Walk will take place at Heritage Hill State Historical Park, 2640 S. Webster Avenue, Green Bay, WI. Participants will have the opportunity to walk in honor of a loved one, in support of someone grieving or to show support for those in our communities who are facing a loss. The Luminary Walk is a community event open to all. It is not limited to families served by Unity. Event registration and t-shirt pick-up will begin at 7:00 pm, along with pre-walk activities including stations to personalize the commemorative walk t-shirt and take a selfie. Participants will also enjoy DJ music overlooking the beautiful state park. A special program filled with inspiration will begin at 8:15 pm with the walk to start promptly at 8:30 pm. Glowing luminaries will guide walkers on the serene 1.5-mile paved walking trail. A wheelchair accessible tram will be available. Individuals are encouraged to fundraise by utilizing the fundraising tools easily accessible on Unity’s website at unityhospice.org/luminarywalk.

Lemke Named Chief Executive Officer of First State Bank

New London, Wisconsin – First State Bank president, Matthew R. Lemke, has been named chief executive officer (CEO) of the bank as of April 1. Lemke joined First State Bank as president and was elected to the bank’s board of directors in January.

Lemke began his banking career in 2004 at JP Morgan Chase in Appleton. He was senior branch manager at Associated Bank in Appleton from 2005 to 2010, and as director of retail/market manager for Baylake Bank’s Green Bay and Central Wisconsin branches from 2010 to 2016. Lemke joined Investors Community Bank in Manitowoc in 2016 where he served as senior vice president of banking services before his promotion to executive vice president – chief retail and deposit officer in 2021. Prior to coming to First State Bank, Lemke was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Bristol Morgan Bank in Oakfield.
