MUSM Student Receives 2022 G.E.R.M. Award

Mikalah Maury, MS-2, is a recipient of a Grants for Emerging Researcher/Clinician Mentorship (G.E.R.M.) Program award, which is the first time for a Mercer student. The program was developed to provide grants to medical students to support a longitudinal, mentored clinical learning and/or research project on infectious diseases-related topics, including HIV, under the mentorship of an IDSA or HIVMA member. Congratulations, Mikalah!

Mercer team holds pop-up health clinics in Greece

A stigmatized and impoverished population in Greece received basic health care and nutrition guidance from a Mercer On Mission team this summer. Sixteen Mercer University students participated in the ongoing service-learning project to assist the Roma people in partnership with Romani Hope, a local nonprofit that promotes awareness and understanding of Romani culture.

South Carolina Family Medicine Interest Day
