Get to Know the Moreno Valley Senior Center

In our latest episode of Know MoVal, we get to know the Moreno Valley Senior Center.

If you’re over 50, the Moreno Valley Senior Center provides the amenities, activities, and services to stay active, engaged, and connected in our community.

Stay in the know—and on your toes—with educational classes, arts and crafts workshops, and even fitness and dance classes. You can also get helpful advice and advocacy on senior housing, healthcare, counseling, and legal concerns. Enjoy low-cost lunches through our Family Service Association (FSA) partnership and affordable transportation via Dial-A-Ride and the MoVan.

Located at 25075 Fir Avenue, the Moreno Valley Senior Center is a great place to meet up with friends, make new connections, and celebrate special occasions.

Fireworks Are Illegal in Moreno Valley

Fourth of July festivities are around the corner, and the City of Moreno Valley would like to remind residents that fireworks are illegal citywide.

Not only are fireworks illegal, but they are also dangerous. Illegal fireworks can startle pets, trigger PTSD in our veterans, and lead to severe injury or death.

Moreno Valley police officers are treating illegal fireworks as their number one non-emergency priority, and you can be fined up to $3,500 if caught.

Summer Day Camp

Attention campers! There's still time to sign up for our Summer Day Camp! 

Moreno Valley's Summer Day Camp will take place from June 12 to August 4 at the Conference & Recreation Center, located at 14075 Frederick Street. Campers will enjoy exciting art projects, games, music, fun recreational activities, and so much more! Two snacks will be provided daily.

Our Day Camp is perfect for kids aged 6-12. Space is limited, so don’t miss out!

Pet of the Week: Kyrra

If you love big dogs with big hearts, our Pet of the Week is for you! Kyrra is a one-year-old Rottweiler who’s as sweet as can be. Although this gentle giant was surrendered when her original family could no longer care for her, she’s the perfect dog for anyone. Kyrra knows commands, loves to give and receive affection, and loves to play fetch. This beautiful girl needs her second chance in a loving home, so bring her home before you miss out.
