Nycole Matthews aka Nycole Marvelous is an Artist and board member of the ACA of Newport. She works closely with FabNewport to bring the arts into the community for residents of all ages. Currently she serves as Executive Director of Newport Art House and is an adjunct professor at Salve Regina University. Nycole has recently published a coloring book filled with images of her hand drawn illustrations of mermaids for artists of every age to enjoy.

This summer we are bringing band concerts back to Touro Park! Join us as we welcome the Rhode Island Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Robert Franzblau.

This concert is free! Bring your blanket and chairs and enjoy a fun afternoon of music! The music starts at 3:00pm.

Join us for an educational two days with Master Watercolorist Gina Croce as we learn how to paint a still life working from a photograph!
We will be covering color, composition and shadows to create a realistic and fun finished painting!
Bring a lunch and sense of humor as we are going to have a fun and creative two days together!
Exploring Techniques in Oil and Cold Wax
with Jane Henry Parsons

The addition of cold wax into oil paint opens up a world of possibilities in your painting practice. Beginning with an overview of the medium, touching on composition and color mixing using a limited palette, we will explore some of the many techniques that can be achieved.
