Season's Greetings from Schultz!

There is one more week of Remote Learning for all students 
before Winter Break begins!
No School: Monday, Dec. 21 - Friday, January 1, 2021

(Reminder: DCS Board of Education Meeting - Monday, December 14th at 6pm)
Things to keep in mind during Remote Learning

  • 10 Technology FAQ's for Remote Learning has been posted on the Delaware City Schools website:  Click Here
  •  Click Here  for a 2 minute video with instructions for how to get the most out of the parent portal for grades and attendance.
  • We now have open and public Wi-Fi that can be accessed from two out door locations at Schultz Elementary School: our Main Parking Lot in front of the building and Bus Alley, the east parking lot.  The network name is Public_Pacernet and there is no password needed.

~  Important Information for Families  ~
*Delaware City Schools can waive school fees for students who qualify. To apply for a fee waiver, the free/reduced lunch application must be completed. Once approved, fees will be waived for the current school year. (Completing this application is also important for families to receive the P-EBT card, which allows for additional food benefits during the pandemic.)

*During remote learning, families can pick up a week's worth of meals on Wednesdays. These meals are available to all students at no charge. Please complete the meals form to reserve your meals and indicate where you will pick them up. (Limited bus stops have been added to serve students that are not in walking distance.) Click the "meals form" above for more information.

Parent Communication


There are several ways to receive information about Schultz Elementary School and Delaware City Schools. Please check out the following:
  • District website - www.dcs.k12.oh.us
  • Text Messages: to receive text messages from DCS, opt in by texting the word YES to 67587 from the phone on which you want to receive the message.  The number must match the number we have listed in your students' contact file.  If you receive a message that the number is not in the DCS system, please contact the Schultz office and request to add your number or make a change to the number we have on file 
  • Schultz E-Mail List:    to be redirected to the DCS website and sign up to receive Schultz and DCS newsletters, special bulletins and other important information from Schultz Elementary School (check spam folder first time receiving).

 Absence Reporting Procedure
Please call the Schultz office at 740-833-1400 to report your student's absence (the SafeArrival absence reporting system will not be used for the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year).  If your child's absence is not reported by 9:00 am, you will receive a phone call from the school office.
