I think it is fair to say that everyone is in exploratory mode with using Generative AI in their SaaS products.

The major cloud providers all have made product announcements about how to integrate Generative AI tools into applications. AWS' approach is to use Sagemaker which is their tool for making AI applications. Google Cloud's CEO talks about their Generative AI strategy including how to develop applications using this technology and how they plan to integrate it into Google Workspace. Microsoft, as an investor in Open AI, is using the Azure Open AI Service for it's Generative AI application tools. Whatever cloud you use as the infrastructure for your business there are now new products and approaches of how to incorporate Generative AI. All of these cloud providers anticipate growth from both the development and use of the models and see it as a significant growth engine going forward.

An article in Analytics Insight talks about the potential impact to vertical SaaS businesses as more customers have the tools, including Generative AI, to be able to make their own applications. I believe that vertical SaaS businesses that embrace the Generative AI technology and figure out how to make it available to their customers in a flexible way to solve business problems will benefit. Application functionality and integration strategies for Generative AI will be key to being successful.

Major enterprises are also starting to use Generative AI although as expected they are approaching it cautiously as outlined in this CIO.com article. Major enterprise software companies such as Salesforce have also added this technology to their products.
