What is Proper Hydration?
Hydration is not something we only need to pay attention to during the HOT summer months. On average, our bodies are 60% water, so we need to commit to staying hydrated year round. Feeling thirsty? Chances are, you're already dehydrated. Hungry? Hunger is also a sign you may need to hydrate.

Why is it Important to Stay Hydrated?
In simple terms, hydration keeps our bodies functioning normally. Proper hydration regulates body temperature and helps prevent infection (hello Covid). Being well hydrated also improves mental clarity, elevates mood, increases energy levels, and improves sleep quality.



Good Workouts Require Hydration
When we don't properly hydrate before, during, and after exercise, our bodies do not perform as well. Keep in mind that water may not be enough, especially after HOT yoga. It's important to replenish those electrolytes. Electrolyte Packs are great, but an easy way to replenish is to infuse water. Adding citrus or melon, cucumber, and mint to water adds electrolytes, reduces soreness, and adds vitamins and minerals like potassium and vitamin c.

Think Beyond the Water
