President's Message: Giving Tuesday
Dear Colleagues,

Today is National Philanthropy Day, an occasion to recognize the importance of voluntary support to non-profit organizations. We recently celebrated several significant philanthropic milestones and achievements, the most significant of which was our work to surpass our initial goal of $50 million raised for the WKU Opportunity Fund in less than four years. This remarkable success led to an even more ambitious goal of raising $100 million for the WKU Opportunity Fund, and thanks to generous private support, we are well on our way to achieving that total - already surpassing $56 million with 158 new endowed scholarship funds. Additionally, in July, the College Heights Foundation, which began in 1923 with an initial $100 gift from a faculty member, celebrated its 98th anniversary and marked the occasion by exceeding $100 million in its endowment.

As we look forward to Giving Tuesday on November 30, we each have the opportunity to provide current and future students with lifechanging experiences on our Hill through philanthropy. Look for more information soon about how you can participate. Your commitment and support will transform the lives of Hilltoppers for generations to come.

Spotlight: Dane Adkins
Dane Adkins, a student in WKU's Doctor of Psychology in Applied Psychology, chose the PsyD program for a variety of reasons. "I have been at WKU for many years and have family in Bowling Green for whom I wanted to provide support. However, the primary reason I chose WKU’s PsyD program is that it offers the ability to work as a licensed professional while also attending classes."
