Dear Friends,

Can you believe that Breast Cancer Awareness Month is drawing to a close? It's a major outreach and fundraising period for HERS and we didn't know what to expect in this time of Covid. We're so very grateful for those who reached out despite these challenging times.

A Final Walk/Run/Yoga Fundraiser Update
As of this writing, our Walk/Run/Yoga event raised $62,000 net in support of our Assistance Programs. To put this in perspective, the funds will sustain one of our four Charitable Programs in the coming year. We can't thank you enough!

We hope we're allowed to return to Quarry Lakes for this event in 2021; time will tell. For now, mark your calendar for Saturday, September 25, 2021.

People with Purpose Returns
And it will be a Pink PJ Party!

We're so excited to announce the return of our fabulous fundraising gala, People with Purpose, on Saturday, May 8, 2021.

It's coming back with a fun twist -- we're trading our traditional "pink tie" theme for PINK PJs! Whether your don your most luxurious or most comfortable lounge-wear, you don't want to miss this event.

The evening will include enticing entertainment, our heroic HERS Awards, awesome auction items, and more. Be on the lookout for info in the coming weeks!

Grant Highlights
A great big THANK YOU to our long-time donor, Fremont Bank! Their most recent grant in the amount of $10,000 will fund our Assistance Programs and provide our patients in need with the products and services they deserve.

To date, Fremont Bank has donated nearly $232,000 to HERS. They understand our organization's fundraising and expense challenges, particularly during Covid-19, and we are so very grateful for their dedication to our work and patients.
This local club's current theme is "Niles Rotary Makes Us Bloom" and they are definitely doing just that for HERS patients. Their most recent grant in the amount of $4,000 will provide post-surgical products to under-served patients and will help them thrive! Thank you, Niles Rotarians.

Words of Wisdom ~

Remember that taking time for yourself, including health check-ups and mammograms, and performing a monthly breast self-exam are steps that can be life-saving.

Put yourself at the top of your priority list. Practice self-care. You deserve it!
