I walk ahead of myself
in perpetual expectancy of miracles.

Dear Creative Friends,

We are still learning new ways to be present to the evolving world around us ... each of us finding our own path through this liminal space. 2020 and 2021 have been a kind of pilgrimage of the soul, taking us to places we have never been and requiring us to find the sanctuary within.

"A pilgrimage is an opportunity to reconnect with your soul."

says author Phil Cousineau in his classic book
He also reminds us that "there is something sacred waiting to be discovered in virtually every journey."

Knowing how true this has been for me, I have created three creative journeys for early 2022 which will engage our imagination and our soul as we explore different ways to get to know ourselves through creative exploration. You'll find more information about these below. Perhaps one of these journeys will call to you.

Exploring Your Mythic Story
using SoulCollage®
and the Labyrinth
February 20 - 24, 2022
at St Francis Springs Retreat Center in Stoneville, NC

Using the process of SoulCollage® and the labyrinth, both of which I consider to be languages of the soul, this five-day, four-night retreat will give you the time and space to listen deeply to your Soul to uncover your unique Mythic Story. Both the labyrinth and SoulCollage® are gentle guides for times when you are on the threshold of transition or feel like you are standing on shifting sands. This time of unknowing and uncertainty can also be a time of rich possibility.

Visual Journal
as Sanctuary for the Soul
March 10 - 13, 2022
at St Francis Springs Retreat Center in Stoneville, NC

A visual journal is a space where you can listen to your Soul. It is a container for whispers from your unconscious. It is a place to play with color, with shape, and with images and patterns that are calling to you. It is a breathing space where you explore the mysterious territory of your inner world. As we play on the pages of our journal the longings of our soul become visible.

All supplies are included. You will receive a kit of creative supplies to open up to this gentle way of listening to your soul.

This will be our first Christmas in our new home in Virginia. I am slowly getting to know the land that surrounds me: the sound of the trees in the wind, the sparkle of the water at sunrise, the crunch of the gravel driveway. Moving and getting to know this new territory has been its own kind of pilgrimage.

Winter invites me to an inward journey of rest and reflection. May you find time for rest and reflection and may you be surrounded by the presence of love during this holiday month.

With my love,
Catherine
May you find refuge
in the soft and tiny magics
of where you are.
earth beneath your feet,
raindrops in your hands,
wings against the sky,
eyes open to see what can be seen,
heart open to collect
what can be collected,
breathing the sacred breath of now.
