Toilet Paper Shortages Now Tackle Shortages?
You probably have encountered empty pegs or zero inventory at your local store or favorite online retailer this year. That trend has continued into December and may continue indefinitely. Many companies are still not caught up from the surge in participation this season. Some popular lures, rods and reels may be out of stock well into 2021, so if you see it in stock and like it, might be a good time to get it.

What Happens To Old Fiberglass Boats?

What happens to old fiberglass boats when they are no longer useful, cost too much to repair or are abandoned on public waters? Often times local authorities take bids to dispose of them, which includes removing useful or hazardous parts and bringing them to a landfill. There is also a movement to begin recycling fiberglass boats, since they are not biodegradable and will sit in landfills for centuries. Boat removal and disposal can cost beyond $10,000 and multiple American industries are looking for ways to recycle these old fiberglass hulls now. Pontoonpedia also has an article with suggestions for properly disposing of an old fiberglass boat.

Omori Uses Off Season Time To Prep
Bass Pro Tour professional Takahiro Omori has earned the title of one of the best shallow water crankbait fishermen in the game, winning numerous titles and cashing countless checks utilizing the technique. Capitalizing on the opportunities that arise from banging his Lucky Craft squarebills off of shallow cover is something Takahiro prepares for each and every off season. "Each off season I go through all of my crankbaits checking them for imperfections and flaws. If I see any hardware that needs to be replaced I take care of that, and also switch out the old hooks with Gamakatsu Round Bend treble hooks in the appropriate size for the bait," says Omori. Keeping his game day crankbaits in prime condition is high on Takahiro's list of priorities so he goes the extra mile. "I put hook covers on all of my crankbait treble hooks before I put them in my tackle box. This keeps them from getting dulled, and also protects them from rust or any other sort of damage." Omori concluded.

When the final fish hit the scale at Alabama's Lay Lake there were 12 Elite Series invitations from the Opens that were decided Saturday - four each from the Overall, Eastern and Central divisions. Double qualifiers, etc., made this difficult to explain at times, but here is how it all shook out.
Earning the four Overall Opens invitations were: 1. Bryan New, 2. Justin Atkins, 3. Matt Robertson, and 4. Marc Frazier, who will join his brother, Micah, on the Elite Series next year.
Earning the four Central Opens invitations were: 1. Jason Christie, 2. Greg Hackney, 3. Kenta Kimura, and 4. Darold Gleason. Gleason, by the way, won a tiebreaker with Paul Browning based on overall weights on Days 1 and 2 in the four tournaments.
Earning the four Eastern Opens invitations were: 1. Joshua Stracner, 2. Scott Martin, 3. Justin Hamner, and 4. KJ Queen, the first Bethel University graduate to make the Elite Series from that dominant college bass fishing team.
