I really hope this week's newsletter topic doesn't jinx all of us, but it's starting to look like the 2023 version of spring is finally starting to show itself. We are currently riding a record long seven straight days with no rain, you might need to sit down for this next part, but we are currently projected to have another 10 straight days of no rain! After that hellacious winter of, sleet, snow, wind and rain, I wasn't sure if we'd ever feel the warmth of the sun again, and boy am I glad to say I was wrong about that! We're all keenly aware of the affect our winter climate can have on our physical environment, but the affect it has on our mental health can be just as impactful, yet is rarely discussed. I find myself feeling less motivated when its cold and dark outside, where as a bright sunny day seems to give me more energy and tends to increase my optimism for that day. |
